MILO’S BARN sanctuary and rescue was established in 2015 by Laurie Anderson. It is a Not-for-Profit located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She decided to write children’s books to help kids learn how to be kind and care for animals.
This book series was a lot of fun to create. The style of the illustrations and the charming characters work together to tell the real stories of some of the animals that have found their home at Milo’s Barn.
Character Design
The first step for each of our children’s books is to create custom character designs that fit the tone of that story. The characters for Milo’s Barn are based on real people and animals, so photos were used as inspiration.
